Jura WE6 vs Jura WE8: Who W-W-Wins?
We’ve seen the phasing in of Jura’s newest range of small office coffee machines gaining traction a lot of late with the W-range of machines. While there hasn’t been official word from Jura as to what the “W” is indicative of – we’re going on a hunch that it might:
1) Stand for “wonderful”
2) Be the “Wider” range of coffee machines in comparison to their predecessors, the E-range.
Speaking form the heart, the WE6 and WE8 are beautiful machines. They are exceptionally similar in function and aesthetic, the major difference comes down to their output capabilities.
We compare them in an “apples for apples’ type of scenario, so you can make the best and most informed decision when choosing the right small office coffee machine.

Which Jura WE is Best For You?
As you can see in the table above, all the major differences have been highlighted. I think it’s safe to say that the prices differences are so marginal, that they really are not too much of an influencing factor.
We see they are exactly the same in size; what really sets the WE6 vs the WE8 apart then?
In short – milk and ease of maintenance. The milk specialties, milk rinsing and adjustable milk spout are the extra’s which add to the WE8’s functionality and output, and are absent on the WE6.
This is something to consider if you have a lot of decaf coffee drinkers in your work space. Adding to that, the chute for pre-ground coffee (or as the connoisseurs know it, the override doser) is present on the WE8. The only other differentiating factor is the adjustable water spout on the WE8 which is, again, absent on the WE6.
