The Jura F Range of coffee machines are best suited to two main schools of users: the small office which appreciates great quality coffee, and the high-usage home user who has sought a marriage of aesthetic and quality and high-end output.
Whichever of these categories you fall into, you’ll still want to peruse all your options within this specific range; knowing key differences in each of the machines may be a factor you’ve unintentionally overlooked, so pull up closer and let’s figure this out together!
Jura F Range: The Jura F7
Entry level Jura machine in the F range.
Two-touch machine.
No LCD screen – basic graphic display.

The F7 replaced the Jura F50 classic which was the number one selling Jura machine of all time.
The F7 improves on the F50 by bringing the milk frothing spout closer to the centre so that one can make a cappuccino or latte without moving ones cup. The F7 however is still not a one touch cappuccino machine as it only features a single thermoblock and the milk froth is controlled by the tap system.

While the F8 is a major aesthetic improvement on the F7, it still remains a two-touch coffee machine and maintains similar outputs with similar Key Technologies – like the Aroma+ grinder and Fine Foam technology. The capacity of the water tank, as well as the bean hopper are exactly the same.
Jura F Range: The Jura F9
The Jura F9 is the top of the range small office one touch coffee machine in the Jura stable. The F9 also has slightly different styling compared to the other two F models with the milk based drinks as well as the espresso drinks being made all in the central position.
This machine is the first of the F Range to feature One-Touch functionality.

While the entire F-range carries the same size water tank and bean hopper, and employs the same Jura Key Technologies, we can see the vast difference in their output capabilities. The pricing range is also quite narrow.
Jura F Range Overview: Jura F7 vs Jura F8 vs Jura F9 – which machine will suit your needs?
It comes down to functionality and output, when we pit the F range against one another.
If considering the impact of one-touch vs two-touch functionality, know that the F7 and the F8 will require you to move your cup from the coffee dispensing spout, over to the milk spout when preparing milk-based drinks. The F9 is the only machine within this range that can have coffee and milk dispensed from a single area.
That being said, the quality of the milk froth you’ll obtain from all three of these machines is exactly the same. While the Professional Fine Foam frother may be compatible, the standard Fine Foam Technology is employed throughout the F range.
Another dramatic difference between machines is the drink option availability. We see incremental improvements from the F7 to the F8, but the F9 blows us away with it’s ability to produce each and every possible concoction of speciality coffee rinks.
In terms of aesthetic, the F7, F8 and F9 (in my opinion, at least) each score higher than their predecessor.
The F7 is basic display, almost barely functional, while the F8 improves slightly, and the F9 blowing it out of the water with finishings and one-touch functionality.
Lastly, onto pricing. With less than a $ 300.00 difference between entry-level and high-end of the F range, you’d be hard pressed to consider how much of an influence your budget is when buying these Jura Coffee Machines.
