Jura GIGA Range: Biggest Differences

Grinder types vary per machine -although we have seen the Aroma G3+ grinder becoming the “standard” of late. However, all Jura coffee machine contain ceramic grinders – but some may be adjustable while others are pre-set.

Water tank and bean hopper size. When comparing the GIGA range, it’s vital to compare the water tank sizes. The bean hopper and tank should be proportional, to allow for the least amount of refilling during the day.
Lastly, the thermo-block amount is a huge influencing factor. Having two thermo-blocks allows for incredible “wiggle space” – as you can then froth milk and brew coffee simultaneously (these two items require vastly different temperatures, so having two available heating points means now waiting for the temperature to raise or drop, respectively). However, some of the GIGA range contain THREE thermo-blocks, so if speed is a deciding factor – consider the unsurpassed speed with which you can brew cappuccino’s and other milk-based drinks when the addition of another thermo-block is introduced.
