Jura App vs Jura Wireless Cool Control – The One Thing Nobody Tells You About RFID
Owning a Jura comes with a certain “status”, one which allows you to hold your head high in knowing you invested in one of the best, most established and most innovative coffee machine brands globally. Why do I say this?
- Roger Federer endorses Jura
- They make awesome machines
- Their newer machines are JURA APP compatible
- Newer machines are also Jura Cool Control Wireless compatible
- Did we mention they make awesome machines?
The Jura App (which you can read more about here) enables tech-savvy smartphone users to prepare their favourite coffees from their very own home screen. What exactly can this app do, you ask?
The JURA App is at the forefront of revolutionizing the way we prepare our coffee. The times we are in demand nothing less than cutting edge technology, and that’s exactly what this app provides.
All you need to use this app (barring of course a Jura coffee machine) is a smartphone with the following minimum software:
- Android 4.4 or higher
- iOS 7.0 or higher
- Bluetooth 4.0 or higher
If you have any of the following machines, you’re already good to go with your app:
- GIGA 5*
- Z8
- Z6
- J6
- J600
- E8
- E80
- E800
- E6
- E60
- E600
But what about the shortfalls? At first glance, there are no glaringly obvious signs of any disadvantage associated with this feature, but when adding the new Jura Wireless Cool Control (read about that, here) into the mix, we see one kinda big problem; you can’t use them together!
See, the RFID chip that you need to fit within the water tank of your Jura to connect it to your Jura App cancels out the signal sent by the Wireless Cool Control, so it’s sadly a case of “one or the other”.
