Fetco Coffee Maker Range: Individual Ingenuity
The accepted norm nowadays is to have your coffee maker range divided into three main categories; single serve coffee makers, drip coffee makers and Espresso makers.
It’s a refreshing surprise to head over to Fetco.com and see one of (dare I say it) most interesting ways of categorising coffee makers for offices and homes alike.
Let me lay this out for you:
Measurements
This is so often overlooked as a factor when it comes to purchasing a coffee maker, especially in smaller work or living spaces. That NY apartment or open plan office you spend your days in has some space restrictions, and that factory down town needs a coffee maker the size of a room. You’ll be happy to know you can sort through viable coffee maker options by size in this section.
The ranges span from dual-station drip coffee makers up to a 12 gallon dual brewing station, and Fetco has cleverly added the most apt spaces for each type of coffee maker – like airports, stadiums, hotels and front of house applications.

Brewing Capacity
Understanding what the capacity of a coffee maker is can make all the difference between a great decision – and setting yourself out of pocket. If your coffee maker has, for instance, a brewing capacity of 120 cups per day, it simply means that the machine is able to make 120 optimal cups before any type of cleaning, rinsing, refilling or replacement. If you tend to the requirements as they arise (i.e. – refilling the water tank, emptying the coffee grounds etc.) then your capacity is again extended. Don’t worry yourself that the machine is going to break into pieces if you exceed the daily output capacity, simply pay close attention to what is required of you to keep the machine in top notch condition.
Now that we have a full understanding of brewing capacity – we must understand it’s limitations as well. If you machine has a suggested maximum daily output of 100 cups, and you’re expecting to serve only perhaps 10 cups per day – you’ll be doing yourself an injustice and loosing out on the capabilities you’re likely paying for. Similarly, if you anticipate needing to make 500 cups per day, you’ll be placing that machine under unnecessary pressure – where you could- instead – opt for a slightly larger machine that will be able to take the 500 cup requirement in it’s stride.
All that being said, Fetco provides a brewing capacity range to suit literally anyone. You can select to filter brewing capacity by total gallons, gallons per hour, volume and output.

Special Features
This is where things get super interesting. I’ve (personally) never seen a filter to sift through the special features of a coffee maker. In a way, this really allows Fetco to highlight their stand out and patented features. I’ll run through their listed features and explain what they are, below:
CSD – Cascading Spray Dome
This feature allows for complete, even saturation of the coffee bed for perfectly balanced, great tasting coffee every time. Watch a quick video showcasing how this technology works, here.
Extractor System
Driven by a user friendly touch-screen interface and intuitive software, the XTS series represents the next step in the evolution of FETCO’s renown EXTRACTOR® brewing technology. See a detailed video, here.
Pulse Brew
The pulse-brew intermittent shower brewing system lets you control the length of time the water is in contact with the ground coffee for optimal extraction.
Brew Basket Lock
The Brew Basket Lock feature assures that the brew basket is locked into place during the entire brew cycle for added operator safety.
Touchscreen
Adding an element of modernity and ease of use, touch-screen technology has been adapted to Fetco coffee makers.
Programmability
Another feature in Fetco coffee makers is the ability to personalise your coffee maker to a level where it basically becomes a live-in Barista. You can select machines that are capable of customising your brews by brew volume, brew time, temperature, pre-wet (pre-infusion) percentage and drip delay.
These components all add up to bring you – the user – the most effective and well-suite coffee maker solution to whichever space you are in.
